Some tips for Modern Warfare 2.

The most popular game out or maybe ever is Modern Warfare 2. I feel that I have a good amount of knowledge about this game and I wanted to help people out if they needed it. So first off, this game is so user friendly that nobody should have a disadvantage. Everything in the game is actually there to help you. Nobody gets anything extra , since everything just comes with rank. So I’ll tie that into this guide.

Perks

Perks are what makes this game different from other games and also beginner friendly. There are so many perks to perfect your game. If You aren’t the best run and gun player, then don’t equip marathon and ninja. That’s where I see a lot of people’s problems. They start to equip perks that won’t help them with their own strong points. Mine are as follows.. Scavenger- I’ll never run out of ammo. So there is no reason to get rid of my original gun when I get on a long kill streak. Hard-line- Gets your kill streaks with one less kill. This helps a lot when you want higher kill games. Steady Aim- This one’s an absolute must for me. You won’t always have time to switch to your secondary when in close quarters. So being able to point your primary weapon quickly helps a lot. I also used my second kill streak as Stopping Power. It increase bullet damage but I’ve realized that you won’t need this in this game as much as the first. Since I sometimes rush but also can be a flanking player. These perks work perfectly with my playing style. Death streaks also play a part but not as big. They only play a small part because you only get one after every 4 deaths but also make sure to use these to your advantage.

Weapons

Choose your weapon wisely!!!!! There are 5 catagories: Assault rifles, Sub Machine guns, Light Machine guns, Sniper Rifels and the Riot Shield. Assault Rifles are very accurate depending on which one you have. The ACR is very accurate but isn’t nearly as strong as the AK47. Though the AK47 is very powerful, It's accuracy is very low. Choosing a class of gun isn't the hardest part. Someone who plays to flank and get in the middle of battle should go for a Sub Machine gun. The reason is because the gun is small and light making it easier to pull up the sight and shoot. Assault Rifles work best at medium range with more power than the Subs, but they aren't as effective close range since the gun is heavier. So I would suggest them for a player as myself. I flank and I hold each area down from point to point. A Light Machine gun is very heavy and has a very large ammo magazine. I would suggest them if you don't have the best accuracy and wont move around too much. I say this because these are the most powerful guns. So if you were to miss a few shots, it wouldn't be as crucial since the power is making up for it. Also if you don't run around too much, Its easier to pull up the sight and fire on the enemy that way. Snipers speak for themselves. You snipe and this is the only class where camping is actually encouraged. The only thing is... barely anyone does! Snipers in this game are used to quick scope. Quick scoping is an art in its own but not everyone can do it. With that said, I would stick to normal sniping from afar with these guns. Riot shields are a new weapon. They block bullets making it a great tool while playing objective based games. The only thing that can stop them is shooting open body or sticking the shield with semtex. There isnt much else to say about it.. So if you use these for a little bit of guidance, it could help you find the gun that could make you an even better player.

Weapon Attachments

Also, You will want to put the weapon attachments into play. I won't even bother to bring up the noob tube. Honestly, if you use them for anything other than to get more kills for a better scope; then I believe you won't need any help with that. Noob tubing is an easy way for kills and it is being abused in this game horribly. The attachments are used best with scopes. Red dot, Holographic and Acog scope. The Red Dot and the Holographic sight are pretty much the same. The only difference is the circle around the holographic's sights dot. With most guns there is no noticeable difference but some have better accuracy on different sights. So whichever one you find better should be best for you. The Acog scope isn't as much for people who rush. It takes a little bit longer pull up to your target but the Acog is very accurate. There is also Thermal scope, it uses thermal to highlight the enemies therefore making it easier to find them. Some weapons also have a shotgun attachment which is exactly what it says it is. The other attachment is FMJ. It increases the rate of fire. I think if you can control the gun at that speed, then you should use it as it will be very helpful to you.

Tips and hints.

Call of Duty is simple... Whoever shoots first usually can win the gun fight (without perks, death streaks and etc..). So there are some things that can help you with your style of play.

First off, Try to never keep yourself fully vulnerable to the enemy. Not hiding but you force the enemy to hit a smaller target than you have to. Example- If you are behind a box, car, crate then the enemy only has your head to aim at. Being one of the smallest parts of your body means that the enemy has to have a lot of skill to be able to kill you.

Some people may believe that camping doesn't make you better and it doesn't. A good thing to do is secure a small area of the map. Somewhere where you have plenty of points to run to. Somewhere that you can feel comfortable. This gives you an advantage of being able to get the enemy from many different points. As well as brings the enemy back for revenge kills. Once You are in your alternate position, the enemy won't know where to attack you from.

Play with people that you know as much as possible. Playing with friends/clan gives a major advantage. I believe clans that only do the same type of play are weaker. Clans need variety! Have a sniper, a flanker, rusher and etc.. Designating a player to each asset of the game, will give your team an edge. One of the best things is to designate one player to destroying the enemy aircrafts. Being able to knock down those harriers is the greatest thing to do. Stopping the enemy from being able to get those large kill streaks will help you get to victory.

Each player should use the kill streaks to your advantage. There is no reason to attempt a large kill streak as a rushing player. UAV's are very helpful for team games and only require 3 kills (2 with Hardline). This can help the more skilled shooters find the opposing team to lead to those bigger kill streaks.

If you aren't playing with friends or your team, then stick to what you are good at. If Free for All is your thing, then you should play on that playlist to e able to play your best. Venturing to something that you may not be good at will only get you frustrated. Since players in different game types won't all play the same.

Be ready for the unexpected! Noob tubes, Knives and quick scoping snipers. People with these classes can come by very unexpectedly. Using a gaming headset or even headphones will help you know if someone is trying to sneak up on you or just even around you.

I use these to help my game. I know it may not be too in depth but I at least wanted to get the point across and help some who may be new to the game. Hopefully you found this helpful and if you have anything that you want to add just tell me. Thanks for reading.

My MW2 pet peeves.

I have been playing Modern Warfare 2 since it came out. I've had fun at the beginning when everyone was pretty clueless to what the game had to offer; BUT the minute everyone realized the petty perks, the game wasn't fun anymore. Some people say "Well if it's in the game, then it counts or its fair". With all due respect... FUCK THAT! The perks I have problems with are all going to be talked about.

Marathon/Comando/Ninja- This group of people runs around super fast with nothing but a knife and will stab you because you can't see it coming. Infinity Ward tell me this... Who in their right mind would run around a war ground with a knife? Yes, it's a video game but be real all the way around. The story mode has the controversial level to bring realism to the game. So why should I have to suffer with something that really involves no skill at all!

The next things I will bring up aren't exactly perks. They're extras, weapon add-on's, etc.. First off! Noob Tubes! I will use an example of why this sucks. I'm on the other side of the map with my red dot scope on a guy. I fire 2 shot bursts since he is so far away. I almost have him dead and what happens?? He shoots off a noob tube and kills me with no aim or precision whatsoever. WTF? I haven't wanted to kick somebodies ass so bad in a video game more than that.

Thermal Scopes- Seriously? A scope that completely outlines all of your targets? There is no skill in sniping/shooting with a Thermal Scope!

Akimbo Shotguns- I'm pretty sure that one shotgun could blow a man pretty much in half, but TWO! WOW! You have double the chances to rip a man apart! No... two shotguns are not cool especially when you can get killed from 15-20 feet away with them and shotguns ranges aren't that accurate from that far away. They suck and the players who use them I will pick them up and shoot you with them, just so you wont use them again.

Heartbeat Sensors- So I can be crouching around the map but a guy with a heartbeat sensor camps and knows that I am coming? It's like pure cheating.. I have seen it so many times that I'm walking around the corner and the guy just sits there and waits for me to walk around. So... Could he not shoot me if I was running full speed?

I understand that there are gamers who like these add ons and I respect that fully. Why should I have to deal with it though? Can the gamers who actually play the game for skill get a game mode with those things disabled? Something to test your real skill? I am tired of being two kills away from a nuke and a Noob tuber or somone with a knife killing me in the craziest way. This really makes the game unfair and seriously makes me not want to play it. That is my opinion and I know there are people that feel the same way.

Tight ass triple kill to start the match by Dearfall32 of course!

Just an example of how I kill these guys in Modern Warfare. lol.

Secret Modern Warfare 2 Mode. Global Thermonuclear War

This mode looks like a mix of Sabotage and Domination. There is only one bomb, but instead of carrying a bomb to the detonation point (sabotage). You go to the warhead and you try to gaurd it and surround it as you gain points for gaurding it. Then at the end the nuke goes off! BOOM! LoL, I wouldn't mind playing this. It seems like it wouldnt be that bad.

Ice T plays Modern Warfare 2?

Apparently Ice T's really good at this game. I cant lie, I dont really care too much for this dude. It's cool that he's a gamer though. These were his accolades from the Game he played online with Kotaku. They're pretty good but I have gotten them myself. I give him props though.

Ice-T's top three Accolades for the session:

The Show
10 kills/No deaths

Supernatural
Kill/Death ration over 10

Immortal
Highest kill/death ratio

None of which are easy Accolades in the slightest. Yep, you gonna die!

Modern Warfare 2 Review

The expectations for this game were probably higher then any other game ever! Some people looked for the story to be more amazing then COD 4's and others (like Myself) were looking for alot more to be added on to the multiplayer. Now if you wanted a better story I can say it is good but it doesnt have the same effect as the first Modern Warfare. This one is more about the action and excitement compared to the first which led up to it and surprised you with a big epic moment! I still like the story alot but others may not.

On the other hand, the wasn't much more than what I expected! Everything is great and will keep you playing for a very long time, but they're are only minor upgrades. That's not a bad thing at all, but some of the other gameplay turned me away somewhat. The perks are the biggest change. In the first Modern Warfare the perks weren't able to make you nearly unstoppable. You can add the Ninja perk where you cant be detected by UAV's and Marathon where you can run non stop. That causes people to run around the map and stab people and get 20-30 kills. It really turns the game off to people like me, who just like the fact that it takes skill to find a weapon you like and kill the other person better than they can you. That is only my opinion though and I'm sure that there are people who won't mind. It won't stop me from playing the multiplayer completely though. There are things that I love. Like the Kill Streaks are customizable now. So you can have a Sentry Gun, AC 130, and even a Nuke that ends the match completely. Its pretty cool and helps players feel more unique. One thing I can say isn't fair is the "No Party Chat" option. I dont like talking to other players because of the crazy/crude things they say. I would rather just not deal with it and talk to the friends I'm playing with. Other than that though, the multiplayer is probably the best one out there and you shouldn't pass it up.

Last but not least is the Special Op's mode. They are short and straight to the point missions either solo or Co-op with a bud. It reminds me of Rainbow Six: Vegas Terrorist hunt or Gears of War's 2 Horde modes. They are very fun and add a lot to extend how long you were going to play this game anyways. In a nut shell, this is probably one of the best games ever for the 360 and PS3 Gen. This game is clearly a shining diamond and should be tried out be everyone. :
